Home Tunes via FB

In the midst of all this covid19 hysteria, the collective bizarre life-changes & musicians losing their “homes” of gigging, thankfully, we have social media platforms to help with sharing our tunes.

Do dial in if you care to keep up:

I need to write more anyway {all suggestions welcome}.

Love, health and godspeed to all,

The Nicollet Island Inn – 11.14.19

A Much Overdue Duo Evening

Featuring our favorite tunes :: Old & New

Tommy Barbarella has made his mark behind the scenes composing, touring, recording and performing with Prince, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Art Garfunkel, Ziggy Marley and Love and Rockets – to name but a few. In the world of film, he has contributed his talents to Hollywood features by iconic directors like Spike Lee, Robert Altman and Marc Forester.

His first forays into the Minneapolis music scene came at a time when the ‘Minneapolis sound’ was exploding across the international airwaves in the 1980′s. In a music club in downtown Minneapolis he was introduced to mega-producer Jimmy Jam Harris and other members of The Time. This eventually led to a 10-year stint as the keyboardist for Prince and the New Power Generation – a band considered by many to be Prince’s finest line-up. With Prince and the NPG, Tommy toured the world several times over and made numerous TV appearances in the US and Europe.

Having been blessed with several years of honing my little craft at this gorgeous oasis in the heart of our Minneapple, I am so pleased to return to The Nicollet Island Inn.

With the best fella around, no less ~ Sir TommyB.

Kind of can’t believe this happened. Hey, all you have to do is ask.

The power of such can be cosmically life-altering.

Proud I picked up on the gift of gab and chutzpah from my amazing mother.

Gratitude abounds.

Interview on KBEM Jazz 88

Dunsmore - 4.27 - Tan and Soph

What an absolute pleasure to chat with Emily Reese this morning on our beloved Twin Cities Jazz Station, Jazz 88. The KBEM family has been extremely kind and supportive of Tanner’s and my local careers as we’ve come up around these parts. To say we’re thankful is a vast understatement and we are very proud to be a part of our stellar community of musicians.

Here’s a link to the discussion ::

And, here’s a link to TICKETS ::

It’d be real swell to see you all of your beaming faces tomorrow.
